The 2015 JLG 6042 Telehandler is a versatile rough-terrain material handler engineered for construction, masonry, framing, roofing, industrial, agricultural, and general material-handling applications. With a 6,000–lb. maximum capacity, same all-steel construction, new lightweight design that optimizes the boom and frame for more efficient, cost-effective transport. Features include a hydrostatic transmission for ease of operation and an advanced control system that delivers more options and improved diagnostics. Its lightweight design allows for efficient transport, and the electric over hydraulic joystick provides greater multifunction capability. The SkyTrak 6042 also includes a standard LED Motion/Amber Beacon with ClearSky Smart Fleet Connectivity Hardware. A multifunctional, electric over hydraulic joystick includes auxiliary hydraulic functions and attachment tilt capabilities, single-handedly elevating job site efficiency. The JLG 6042 features a maximum lift capacity of 6,000 pounds (2,722 kg) and a maximum lift height of approximately 42 feet 4 inches. The telescopic boom provides a maximum forward reach of approximately 29 feet 6 inches, allowing operators to place pallets, building materials, trusses, and equipment in locations that would be difficult to access with a conventional forklift. At maximum reach, the machine can safely handle approximately 1,200–1,400 pounds, depending on configuration and operating conditions. Its versatility, strong lifting performance, multiple steering modes, and broad attachment compatibility make it an excellent choice for contractors and equipment fleets requiring a reliable all-around material handler.
